D-A-D
Danish rock band D-A-D performs at Tråden in Middelfart.
D-A-D are a Danish hard rock band from Copenhagen, formed in 1982 as Disneyland After Dark before a threatened lawsuit from The Walt Disney Company forced a name change. The lineup of vocalist/guitarist Jesper Binzer, guitarist Jacob Binzer, bassist Stig Pedersen and drummer Laust Sonne has remained intact for decades. Their 1989 international breakthrough album "No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims" and its single "Sleeping My Day Away" put them on the global map, and they have since released 13 studio albums. In 2024 they marked 40 years as a band with a sold-out Royal Arena show and their own exhibition at the National Museum of Denmark.
D-A-D performed a Greatest Hits tour in Australia in May 2025.
D-A-D played a sold-out concert at Royal Arena in Copenhagen on November 1, 2024 as part of the "Speed of Darkness" tour.
The band released their 13th studio album "Speed of Darkness" on October 4, 2024 via AFM Records - a double album with 14 songs.
In connection with the band's 40th anniversary in 2024, D-A-D received their own exhibition at the National Museum in Copenhagen.
D-A-D launched a major festival summer with 24 concerts in Europe, starting with Rock Hard Festival in Germany on May 19, 2024.
