Lars Ulrik Mortensen is a Danish harpsichordist and conductor, born on 9 November 1955 in Esbjerg, widely regarded as one of the leading interpreters of Baroque music of his generation. He trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and later with Trevor Pinnock in London, and has served as artistic director of Concerto Copenhagen - Denmark's national Baroque orchestra - since 1999. In 2007 he received the Léonie Sonning Music Prize, Denmark's most prestigious music award.
