Medina - born Andrea Fuentealba Valbak on 30 November 1982 in Aarhus - is a Danish-Chilean pop singer and songwriter who broke through in 2008 with "Kun for mig", a single that spent 52 weeks on the Danish chart and became the country's best-selling single that year. Across seven studio albums and more than ten number-one hits, she has remained a dominant force in Danish pop, winning multiple Danish Music Awards and reaching audiences across Europe with the English-language version "You and I".
Medina topped the annual Gramex list as the most played female lead artist on Danish radio in June 2025.
Gaffa marked the 15-year anniversary of the single "Addiction", which has over five million streams on Spotify and in 2011 reached the top of Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart in the USA.
Medina won the award for Artist of the Year at Danish Music Awards 2024 after a year with six new single releases and sold-out arena concerts.
Medina released the single "Kærlighed" as her sixth single in 2024 - a song about self-love, which was first presented live during the arena concerts in April.
Medina performed her career's largest concerts so far at Royal Arena in Copenhagen and Djurslands Bank Arena in Aarhus and received five stars from GAFFA's reviewer.
