Nøjsomheden is a novel by Danish author Stine Askov, which has also been adapted into a film. It follows Mona, a young woman from the housing estate Nøjsomheden in Helsingør, who falls for Nikolaj from a well-off neighbourhood across town. The story mixes comedy with themes of social inequality, mental illness and grief, and looks at how family and upbringing shape a person.
