The North Sea Symphony Orchestra (NSSO) is a Dutch project orchestra based in The Hague, founded in 2010 for a China tour in 2011. It reassembles a mix of amateur and professional musicians for each new project, performing almost exclusively abroad - in venues ranging from Paris to China, and Copenhagen in October 2026. Hans Leenders has been its conductor since 2021.
NSSO gives two concerts at Den Sorte Diamant in Copenhagen on October 23 and 24, 2026 under the direction of Hans Leenders.
Before the Copenhagen tour, NSSO plays a pre-concert at De Nieuwe Badkapel in The Hague on October 11, 2026.
On October 26, 2025, NSSO performed works by Brahms and Puccini at Grote of St. Jacobskerk in The Hague together with four choirs from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
