Swae Lee (born Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown) is an American rapper and songwriter from Inglewood, California, best known as one half of the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi. His melodic falsetto and genre-fluid approach - spanning rap, R&B and pop - have made him one of modern hip-hop's most in-demand voices, with writing credits on Beyoncé's 'Formation' and an uncredited hook on Travis Scott's 'Sicko Mode'. Rae Sremmurd's 'Black Beatles' topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016, and 'Sunflower' with Post Malone became the first single ever to earn a double-diamond RIAA certification. In April 2026 he released his long-awaited solo album 'Same Difference' on Ear Drummer Records and Interscope.
