Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado are a Danish blues and roots rock band who have toured relentlessly across Europe and beyond since the early 2000s. The eight-piece outfit - horns, organ, twin guitars - blends Chicago blues, southern soul and boogie into a tight live show that has made them one of Europe's most in-demand acts on the blues circuit. They have won four Danish Music Awards and were named Best Band at the European Blues Awards. Their 2014 album Too Many Roads broke them internationally, and they have since performed in more than 20 countries.
The double live album 'Live at Hotel Cecil' was released on June 19, 2026 via Provogue/Artone and received positive reviews.
The band released a live version of the single 'Said I Was Hurt', recorded at a sold-out concert at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen on November 29, 2025.
The band performed at the January Blues Festival in London on January 11, 2026 as part of the European tour.
The studio album 'House of Sticks' was released in January 2025 via Provogue/Artone and formed the basis for an extensive European tour.
