Trine Appel is a Danish screenwriter and novelist, trained as an actor at Statens Teaterskole and as a screenwriter at the Danish Film School. She has written six novels, several rooted in magical realism and Danish history, and her screen credits include the TV2 series 'Dag og nat' and DR's 'Min nye søster'. She is also the author of the fantasy trilogy 'Ildfuglen'.
