The full length of Nørrebrogade serves as an outdoor festival space for the recurring Car-Free Sunday event, closing the street to all traffic from Dronning Louises Bro to Borgmestervangen near Nørrebro St. Associations, cultural organisers and local groups take over the asphalt with chalk drawings, music, workshops and activities for all ages. The event is organised by Nørrebrohallen, Blågården, Osramhuset and Nørrebro Lokaludvalg.
