Nørrebrohallen on Nørrebrogade is a municipal sports and cultural centre that started life in 1896 as a tram depot, built by Siemens & Halske to designs by architect Thorvald Sørensen. Tram operations ceased in 1972 and the building was converted into a sports hall. Today it offers football, handball, basketball, squash, badminton and climbing. The main hall seats 600-800 and hosts concerts, flea markets and conferences; since 2019 it also shares the building with Nørrebro Bibliotek.
