Open House at Nordals Naturskole
Nordals Naturskole hosts an open house in the forest with hands-on creative activities using natural materials for all ages.
Nordals Naturskole occupies a converted barn building near Sjelleruphus in Nørreskoven on the island of Als - a 740-hectare forest stretching down to the Little Belt, with deciduous woodland, bogs, beaches and ancient monuments. The nature school offers guided outdoor activities for children and adults led by nature guides from Sønderborg Municipality, and houses a collection of taxidermied animals, wall paintings and teaching materials. Outside there is an obstacle trail, a large shelter called Den grønne diamant, a tipi area and an outdoor classroom known as Jagtstuen by the water's edge.
