Jacob Bellens

Jacob Bellens takes the stage at Gnisten with a new direction: for the first time, he sings in Danish. The single "Din historie" (Your Story) comes out on February 20 and carries a more vulnerable and direct expression than his previous work - an expression he describes as closer and more raw.

This time he doesn't come alone. The trio consists of Nikolaj Montin on drums, Nicholas Kincaid on bass, and Jacob Bellens on vocals, guitar, and piano. "Din historie" revolves around personal agency and restlessness - the feeling of living in real time without knowing the destination, where direction emerges along the way rather than being planned in advance. The song moves between past, present, and future in an almost dreamlike space, where the process weighs more heavily than the goal.

Jacob Bellens is known from I Got You On Tape and Murder and has since pursued a solo career with concerts at home and abroad. He has previously played at a packed Gnisten as a solo artist.
