Bach Christmas Oratorio - All Six Cantatas

Experience the complete Bach Christmas Oratorio with Copenhagen Cantata Choir. The choir performs all six cantatas from Bach's famous Christmas Oratorio in a single concert - a rare opportunity for Bach lovers and those who have made the Christmas Oratorio a festive tradition.

The Christmas Oratorio was composed for the Christmas season of 1734-1735 while Bach was cantor at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig. The work is not actually an oratorio but a cycle of six cantatas. To hear all cantatas (I-VI), attend both concerts at Helligaandskirken on Saturday, 19 December, or purchase a combined ticket. You can also buy separate tickets for the first concert (cantatas I-III) or the second concert (cantatas IV-VI).

Copenhagen Cantata Choir is conducted by Torben H.S. Svendsen, with soloists Nina Bols Lundgren (soprano), Laura Hilden (alto), Tyler Ray (tenor), and Asmus Hanke (bass).
