Good Sleep - Even When We're Struggling
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · Free
Many experience nights filled with racing thoughts, restlessness, or sleep that never feels truly restorative. Sleep problems affect a broad population and often worsen during periods of stress or mental distress.
Two specialists from Aarhus University Hospital explore the connection: specialist psychologist in psychiatry Henny Dyrberg from the Psychiatry House and clinical nurse specialist and researcher Sanne Toft Kristiansen. They discuss what makes sleep vulnerable during difficult periods and what concrete steps you can take - including circadian rhythm, non-medical treatments, and the use of weighted blankets for insomnia. The discussion is grounded in research and clinical experience.
Science journalist Line Friis Frederiksen moderates the conversation. The event takes place in the Rampen room and is part of the Folk University's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
