Baby SanseTummel & First Aid (babies 1-5 months) Class 2
Prismen, Copenhagen · 480 kr. · ≈ 64 €
Baby SanseTummel & First Aid is a class for babies around 1-5 months old and their parent. The course runs over 6 Tuesdays: 3/11, 10/11, 17/11, 24/11, 1/12, and 8/12, 10:40-11:30 (including 5 min. tidying up). If cancelled by the instructor, a replacement session is offered on 15/12.
The class focuses on the baby's senses and motor development. You'll play with external senses like sight, smell, hearing and touch, as well as internal senses like balance and proprioception. The season includes massage, beginner somersaults, singing, swinging and rolling, large balls and colourful scarves - with special focus on games that stimulate cross-pattern movement and help babies learn to enjoy tummy time. Many games are designed so the adult is also moving. Each week covers a short first-aid topic, such as foreign objects in the airway, febrile convulsions or burns.
If your baby sleeps during class, you can do the games with a practice doll, get suggestions for gentle strength and stretching exercises - or attend the other Baby SanseTummel class that day (see flex option below).
Instructor Marianne Mogensen is an authorised physiotherapist and first-aid instructor who can advise on gentle modifications if you have postpartum challenges. You don't need to wait for the 8-week check-up. The participating adult should be comfortable with some postpartum chat and pelvic floor exercises here and there. Twins can be brought without extra charge. Registered babies are expected to follow the public vaccination programme. Bring a lock for the pram and a sheet for the mat (or your own mat).
Flex option: You are registered for class 1 or class 2, but choose freely each week which class suits you best. Registration is binding and cannot be cancelled. A fee is added when purchasing a ticket.
English-speakers are welcome - the teacher will translate whenever needed. Notice the flex option between two classes each week!
