Poop or Cake?

Kongskilde Nature Center and the Danish Nature Agency invite you to Night in Nature 2026 with the project "Poop or Cake?" - an event that challenges preconceptions about nature. The starting point is simple: what seems repulsive to some - such as dung - is the foundation of life for others and an important part of nature's cycle.

The evening offers four activities: welcome at the Mill with headlamps and lantern trails through the ice-age landscape, microscopic examination of dung and insects' foundation for life, pancake baking over a campfire with wild berries, and an introduction to campfire huts, shelters and other outdoor facilities in the area.

The event is for everyone - families with children, friends and couples, nature enthusiasts and people with disabilities who want outdoor life in safe surroundings.

Bring clothes according to the weather and preferably your own flashlight or headlamp. There are toilets, access to water and the possibility to warm yourself by the fire.
