Help Decorate Sorø Library for Christmas

Decorate the library for Christmas - free family event: Friday 27 November 2026, 13:00–15:00, Sorø Bykontor, Sorø. Admission is free.

Sorø Library invites children, young people, adults, associations, and businesses to help with Christmas decorations. The decorations will be the centerpiece of a festive opening on Friday, November 27, from 1 to 3 p.m., marking the start of the Christmas season.

You can contribute homemade decorations from home, your association, after-school program, kindergarten, workplace, or elsewhere. Size doesn't matter-it could be a small mouse staircase or a miniature replica of Santa's workshop.

Decorations can be dropped off during regular opening hours before November 27, or you can come on the day itself to hang them up. Contact Lilian at lsuhh@soroe.dk to reserve space and have a small sign made with your name. Your email should include your name (person, association, institution, etc.) and what you're bringing.

Decorations and displays must be picked up by you, preferably between Christmas and New Year. After New Year, the library will take them down and cannot guarantee items will be kept.

The opening is free. Cordial, tea, coffee, and gingerbread cookies will be served.
