Focus on diet, immunity and parasites
Sønderborg Folkeuniversitet presents Frede Damgaard in a lecture on immune defence, diet and parasites.
A well-functioning immune system requires both training and the right influences. Parasites are one of the factors that can activate and shape the immune system's reactions - and Frede Damgaard examines what you can concretely do to strengthen your immune defence and avoid diseases caused by parasites.
A parasite is any organism that lives off another. Most live in the human intestines: some consume your food and leave you hungry, others attack red blood cells and can cause anaemia. Lice, fleas, mites, scabies, worms, malaria parasites and wood ticks are all examples. We all have parasites to a greater or lesser degree, but do not necessarily become ill from them.
Frede Damgaard has worked for over five decades as a practitioner, teacher and lecturer in Denmark, Norway and Sweden within complementary health.
