Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Cantatas 1-3: 8 December – 9 December 2026, Holmens Kirke, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 175 kr.

Copenhagen Bach Choir performs J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) with the orchestra Originalerne.org, following tradition. The work was composed for performances during the Christmas and New Year season of 1734-35 in Leipzig and consists of six parts tied to the three Christmas days, New Year's Day, the Sunday after New Year, and Epiphany. This concert presents parts I, II and III.

Originalerne.org plays on historical instruments tuned a semitone lower than modern instruments, producing a softer sound. The conductor is Christian Tophøj Buur, who took over as conductor of the Bach Choir in August 2025.

Soloists: Lise Bech Bendix (soprano), Nana Bugge Rasmussen (mezzo-soprano), Mathias Hedegaard (tenor) and Teit Kanstrup (bass).
