This lecture explores the art scene in Southern Jutland from the Reunification in 1920 onwards. It examines how new cultural currents, institutions, and collaborations laid the foundation for an artistic life in the region - and what role the Reunification played as a cultural turning point.

Part of the lecture focuses on the artists and artistic communities that have shaped the region. We encounter key figures and explore how networks and associations have been important for the development of art in the area.

Finally, the lecture highlights the exhibitions and passionate individuals who have created the framework for art in Southern Jutland over the years, as well as art's role in regional identity.
