Drawing Class for Children (11-13 Years)
Thorvaldsens Museum, Copenhagen · 900 kr. · ≈ 120 €
Drawing Class for Children 11-13: 20 October – 24 November 2026, Thorvaldsens Museum, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 900 kr.
Thorvaldsens Museum is launching a drawing class for children aged 11-13 with drawing instructor and visual artist Anne Louise Blicher. The course runs six times from 20 October to 24 November 2026, Tuesdays 15:00-16:45. The price is 900 kr. for the entire course, and a snack is included each session. The museum provides all materials.
The instruction is based on fundamental drawing techniques with an emphasis on observation, proportions, and seeing subjects as simple forms. The museum's sculptures, rooms, and objects serve as motifs, so you can expect to draw throughout the entire museum. The class has limited places, ensuring plenty of time for individual guidance.
We meet in the museum's workshop room GIPSERIET on the basement level. On the final session, 24 November, there will be an opening reception from 16:00-17:00, where the children and their adults are welcome to refreshments and a viewing of the created works.
Anne Louise Blicher studied classical painting at Florence Academy of Art in Gothenburg and Florence, and holds a postgraduate degree in Fine Arts from Kungliga Konsthögskolan in Stockholm. As an instructor, she conveys the classical academic drawing tradition - the same tradition that underpinned Thorvaldsens' own education at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
