Guided Tour of Sønderborg Castle History

Sønderborg Castle holds 800 years of history. On this guided tour, you will visit some of the castle's most important rooms and learn about key figures from this long history - including King Christian II, who was imprisoned here for 17 years, and Duke Hans the Younger, who had 23 children and is the ancestor of the Danish royal family. Along the way you will see the church, the knights' hall, the dungeon, and the bakery.

The tour is conducted in Danish, lasts one hour, and runs Monday to Friday in week 42 at 11:00.

Participation requires museum admission at 115 kr. plus a surcharge of 40 kr. for the tour itself. Children have free admission to both the museum and the tour. With an annual pass, admission is free, and the tour is available at a 20% discount.
