Opening and Workshop: Mod-kort

Opening and Workshop: Mod-kort: Saturday 7 November 2026, 12:00–15:00, Kvarterhuset, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Mod-kort is a community art project where local young people have worked with documentary filmmaker Olivia Jo Glismann and architect Amalie Rosenkrantz Hölmich. Students from Skolen på Amagerbro, Den Grønne Friskole, and Amager10 have explored the plants growing along their streets, places where it feels good to spend time, how the city sounds and smells, and which animals we share it with.

As a counterpoint to traditional maps, each young person has created their own map of how they experience the city and what matters to them. Over 100 maps from four school classes are now displayed together in Mellemrummet at Kvarterhuset.

During the exhibition, visitors can try some of the methods the young people used. The workshop is for everyone and explores your own neighbourhood through mapping.

The opening is on 7 November 2026, 12:00-15:00. The exhibition will then be on view in Mellemrummet for four weeks. It concludes the community art project and is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, Amager Øst Local Committee, and Kvarterhuset Amagerbro.
