Luftens Helte ft. Lars Thiesgaard - The Man with a Thousand Voices

In spring 2027, Luftens Helte presents a brand new show. The band's name comes from the theme song to "Darkwing Duck", and this time they bring Lars Thiesgaard on stage - the voice behind characters such as Pete, Scrooge McDuck, Bubba, Don Karnage and Pumba.

The band features 20 musicians: three lead singers and a large instrumental ensemble playing everything from saxophones, flugelhorns and violins to marimba and guitar. The programme includes hits from classic animated films such as The Lion King, Disney Fun, Mulan and Tarzan, with Thiesgaard contributing vocal lines, punchlines and iconic spoken parts from the films.

Thiesgaard was a central figure in the 1990s Disney boom as translator, casting director, director and voice actor. He directed dialogue in films such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Toy Story, Hercules, Thumbelina, Anastasia and Tarzan. In Disney Fun on DR, he voiced Pete, Scrooge McDuck, Gizmo Duck, Bubba, Monty Mouse and Don Karnage - and sang on the theme song to "Darkwing Duck", delivering the line "Let's get dangerous!"

The band has played sold-out venues across the country and has been nominated for Live Act of the Year at GAFFA, which has also given them five-star reviews.
