A 4-week programme of community singing featuring late-summer and autumn songs from the Højskolesangbogen (Danish folk song collection).

The songs are led by Mette Rasmussen, director of Det Sønderjyske Sangcenter at Sønderborg Kaserne. Coffee and friendly conversation included.

About the venue: Foreningshuset – Sønderborg Kaserne

The community centre at Sønderborg Kaserne occupies a historic barracks building erected in 1905-1907, originally built as a German naval school. After serving as a Danish sergeants' school until 2014 and briefly as an asylum centre, the municipality decided in 2019 to convert it into a venue for voluntary associations. Its five floors now house 20-30 clubs, evening schools and adult-education organisations, covering everything from choral singing and language courses to billiards and military history.
