Kōya

Aalborg-based metal band Kōya has quickly made their mark on the Danish metal scene with energetic live shows and an uncompromising attitude. They have already performed at Mono Goes Metal, When Copenhell Freezes Over, Copenhell, and Summer Breeze (DE).

Their music blends modern post-hardcore and sludge with atmospheric elements from black metal and shoegaze - a sound that moves between the controlled and the chaotic, aggression and reflection. Their upcoming album Pendula (late summer 2026) sharpens their expression: higher tempo, more focused aggression, and tighter songwriting, without sacrificing atmospheric depth.

On stage, Scandinavian bleakness is delivered with raised fists, physical confrontation, and genuine northern Danish charm. At a Kōya show, there is no safe place.
