Close to Power

Professor David Nicolas Hopmann from the University of Southern Denmark presents a lecture on how power in Denmark has changed since the first Power Study around the turn of the millennium - and what it means for democracy.

Hopmann offers insights into the research project Power Study 2.0, which examines the state of democracy in an era of technological development, new media, and changing political processes. He takes a closer look at how Danish politics has become faster and more complex, who really holds power today, and what it means for citizens, politicians, and the public. He also puts this in perspective with the situation of the Danish minority in South Schleswig - a topic close to his heart, as he himself is from South Schleswig and deputy editor of Flensborg Avis.

The event takes place in Salen, Nørre Havnegade 15, Sønderborg, and is held in collaboration with Grænseforeningen.
