Jon Gomm

Jon Gomm is an award-winning guitarist and songwriter from northern England, coming to Denmark in 2026 for his first proper tour. In 2020, readers of Musicradar/Guitar World voted him "Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World".

His technique is built on slapping, tapping, and continuous retuning, so a single acoustic guitar produces layers of bass, drums, and near-orchestral depth all at once. His songs are deeply emotional - with or without vocals - and his live concerts are seasoned with his northern English humour and self-irony.

In 2021, Ibanez launched the JGM10 and JGM5 as Jon Gomm Signature Models. He is only the third guitarist to design a signature acoustic guitar for Ibanez, after Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. His song Passionflower was ranked number 6 on Total Guitar's list of "The 50 Greatest Acoustic Guitar Songs Ever" in 2023 - right after The Beatles' Blackbird and Eric Clapton's Tears In Heaven.
