Psychology for Everyday Life — Alsion, Sønderborg

Sønderborg Folkeuniversitet presents the lecture series Psychology for Everyday Life - a total of 10 lectures split between autumn 2026 and spring 2027. The course is a broad introduction to modern psychology with no prerequisites.

The content ranges from classical psychological theories through recent research to current societal perspectives. Along the way, questions are explored such as: Why do we react so differently to the same events? How are our thoughts, feelings and actions shaped by the communities we belong to? And how do we find meaning and direction in life? The aim is to strengthen participants' understanding of themselves, their relationships and the world they are part of.

The instructors are Henriette Heide-Jørgensen (cand.theol., Jungian analyst and PhD in Psychoanalytic Studies) and Karen Mølbæk (parish priest, cand.mag. in psychology, religion and social studies, plus HD(O) and master's in leadership and organisational psychology).

Registration for the five autumn lectures is open now. The dates are 3/9, 17/9, 1/10, 29/10 and 19/11 2026, 16:00-17:45 at Alsion, Sønderborg. The price for the autumn season is 400 kr.
