Metta Breathwork Workshop
The workshop is led by Malin Barrling and Janesh Vaidya with Linnea Nielsen as host.
About the instructors
Malin Barrling is an Ayurveda yoga therapist and breathwork facilitator from Sweden with over 20 years of experience. Her work combines yoga therapy, Ayurveda, and Metta-based breathing exercises, and she tailors individual programmes rather than applying one fixed method to everyone. She holds a teaching qualification from Uppsala University and is one of three principal teachers at AYTT (Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Training) in India. She has also written and translated several books on yoga and Ayurveda.
Janesh Vaidya is the founder of Vaidya's Ayurveda Village in Kerala, India, and an internationally recognized Ayurveda practitioner and lecturer. He has written eight health books published in nine languages across the USA, Europe, and India. His education began early in traditional South Indian schools (gurukulam) and covers Mana-shastra (psychology), Vedanta (philosophy), Dhyana (meditation), Kalari marma chikitsa, and Yoga chikitsa. About the workshop
Metta Breathwork is an individual breathing method rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom. Rather than one technique for everyone, the method is based on each person's dominant life force - Vata (air), Pitta (fire), or Kapha (earth) - and adapts the breathing exercises accordingly.
The workshop works with three elements: the three life forces from Ayurvedic health science and conscious breathing tailored to the individual, Metta practice focusing on self-love and inner connection, and channelling life energy through intentional breathing techniques accompanied by a musical journey.
