Mendelssohn Paulus

Mendelssohn's oratorio Paul is performed on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at 19:30 in Helligaandskirken on Strøget in Copenhagen. Katinka Bohse Meyer performs as soloist alongside Gustav Wenzel Most and Teit Kanstrup, supported by Copenhagen's Kantatekor and orchestra under the direction of Torben H.S. Svendsen. This is one of two Danish concert dates for Katinka Bohse Meyer in the autumn. Helligaandskirken, one of Copenhagen's oldest churches, contains Gothic and Baroque elements and dates back to the Middle Ages, though the present building largely stems from the 18th century following a fire. The work traces Paul's dramatic life through choral, solo and orchestral passages, including the well-known choral composition "Mache dich auf". Tickets cost 150-250 kr.
