Omrum

Hobby Horse presents Omrum (DK/NO) - a collective quartet project without a frontman and without hierarchy. The music moves between composition and free improvisation, and the four musicians meet on equal terms: Erik Kimestad (trumpet), Mads Hyhne (trombone), Richard Andersson (double bass), and Jakob Høyer (drums).

The quartet's debut album Bringer of Light on Hobby Horse Records was nominated for the German Jazz Prize for the year's best international debut release. In late April they went to Aarø to record in Mads Hyhne's summer house - that music will be released in early 2027.

For this concert, Omrum plays material from both albums. The concert takes place on Sunday, November 1st as part of Spil Dansk week and is supported by Koda Kultur.
