About

Hess Is More is a Danish music project founded by drummer and composer Mikkel Hess (b. 1976), a graduate of the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. What began as a solo electronic project has grown into a transatlantic ensemble drawing on musicians from Copenhagen, New York and Berlin, blending jazz, electronica, krautrock and pop into a sound that is hard to pin down. Mikkel Hess also composes for film, ballet and theatre, including productions at the Royal Danish Theatre and the TV series 'Färjan / Blood Cruise' (SVT/CBS, 2025).
