Jacob Speake is a Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter, music producer and booking agent who holds a cand.mag. in musicology and English from the University of Copenhagen. His songwriting draws on folk, classic pop, soul, jazz and old-school rock, and he has released two solo albums - "Listen to Jacob Speake" (2009) and "Dreaming of the Past" (2018) - both of which received airplay on Danish national radio. Alongside his own artistry he produces for other acts and serves as a resident DJ at the SALSA JAM events held at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge, where he also teaches salsa.
Jacob Speake is confirmed as DJ at Sommerdans on Bryggen in August 2026, where SALSA JAM holds free salsa classes on Kulturhuset Islands Brygges outdoor dance stage.
