Miho Hazama is a Tokyo-born composer and conductor based in New York City, who has served as chief conductor of the Danish Radio Big Band since 2019 - the first woman to hold that post in the band's history. Trained in classical composition at Kunitachi College of Music and in jazz composition at the Manhattan School of Music, she has earned two Grammy nominations and built a wide-ranging international career spanning Europe, Japan and the United States. In 2024 she extended her contract with DR Big Band through 2028.
