When Saints Go Machine // Sønderborghus
The electronic trio When Saints Go Machine performs an intimate seated concert featuring Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild's voice and music from their latest album Greatest Escape.
Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild is a Danish singer and the frontman of Copenhagen electronic trio When Saints Go Machine, which he co-founded in 2007. His distinctive falsetto - drawing comparisons to Arthur Russell and Anohni - anchors a sound that moves freely between electropop, soul and ambient. The band has released six albums since their 2009 debut and won awards including P3 Guld and the GAFFA prize for best electronic release. Vonsild also records as one half of the duo Cancer alongside Kristian Finne Kristensen.
When Saints Go Machine announced SEATED 2026 - a Danish autumn tour with seated concerts in a number of the country's concert halls.
Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild participates in the 2026 season of the DR program Toppen af Poppen.
When Saints Go Machine released their seventh album 'Greatest Escape' on October 24, 2025 - an organic, hand-played album that breaks with the band's well-known electronic expression.
The band released the single 'Co-Star', which followed up on the double single 'Chainsaw / Trying' from autumn 2024.
The album 'Rosy' (2023) won the award for best electronic release at GAFFA Awards 2024.
