Rasmus Nielsen is a Danish author and cultural communicator, born in Sønderborg and raised in Ribe. He holds a degree in literary studies and has worked as an editor and radio producer. He is the author of the trilogy Den sønderjyske sygeplejerske, three novels following a young woman from Sønderborg through World War One and the 1920 reunification of Southern Jutland with Denmark - inspired by his own great-grandmother's life.
