The Kronborg Collection: Music in Denmark 1550-1650 is an 8-CD box set released on Dacapo Records in September 2026, performed by the Copenhagen vocal ensemble Musica Ficta under conductor and composer Bo Holten. It documents the musical life of the Kronborg Renaissance court under Christian III, Frederik II and Christian IV, with works by Dowland, Schütz, Palestrina and Mogens Pedersøn alongside excerpts from Tycho Brahe's music collection. The project draws on more than 30 years of research into the period and on Musica Ficta's tenure as ensemble-in-residence at Kronborg Castle from 2021 to 2024.
