The xx
The xx takes the stage at Syd For Solen in Copenhagen on August 15, 2026, from 21:20.
The xx are a British indie-pop trio from London, formed in 2005 by Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith (known solo as Jamie xx). Their hushed, minimalist sound - built on interlocking vocals, sparse guitar and low-end electronics - earned their 2009 debut album "xx" the Mercury Prize in 2010. Two further albums followed, "Coexist" (2012) and "I See You" (2017), before the band went on hiatus while each member pursued solo work. In 2025 they announced a reunion and began work on a fourth studio album.
The xx performed at the Syd for Solen festival in Copenhagen on August 15, 2026 as part of their European festival tour.
The xx played at Coachella 2026 in April - their first live performances since 2018.
The xx officially announced their comeback shows in 2026, including Coachella, Primavera Sound, Rock Werchter and a number of other festivals.
The xx shared recordings from the studio while preparing for their return to the stage and working on a fourth album.
Jamie xx released the solo album "In Waves", which contained the track "Waited All Night" featuring all three The xx members - the first time since "I See You" (2017) that the trio appeared together on a recording.
