Trader + Swash
Aarhus indie rock band Trader headlines at Råhuset with support from Copenhagen's Swash. Expect noise-driven melodies and explosive slacker-rock inspired by 1990s American indie.
Trader are an indie rock band from Aarhus, Denmark, who have been making noisy, melodic alternative rock since 2019. The trio - Anders Ahle (vocals/guitar), Joakim Johnsen (bass) and Kristian Vissing (drums) - cite Dinosaur Jr. and Yo La Tengo as touchstones, and have toured Denmark, Sweden and several other European countries, including a slot at the Left of the Dial festival in Rotterdam. In May 2026 they returned with the EP Hoodie after a deliberate break from band life.
Trader released the EP Hoodie on May 8, 2026 via Part Time Records - six songs about change, vulnerability and everyday life.
The day after the EP release, Trader played a release concert at Phono in Aarhus on May 9, 2026.
The single 'Buddy' - first taste of Hoodie EP - was released on February 4, 2026.
Trader performed at Aarhus Festuge 2025 as part of the Hul event at M56:10 in Mølleparken.
The band's second album Their Best Work So Far was released in autumn 2022 and gave the band increased radio rotation and coverage.
