Roskilde Congress & Sports Centre is the largest congress centre on Zealand outside Copenhagen. It opened in 1959 as Roskildehallen and has been expanded several times since - most recently in 2013, when Hall D was added, designed by the Danish architecture firm Christensen & Co. The 13,500 m² facility includes four halls, eight meeting rooms and a lecture and concert hall seating 919, hosting conferences, trade fairs, concerts, theatre and sports events. The largest hall holds up to 2,500 seated guests and serves as the home arena for Roskilde Håndbold.
