The Copenhagen duo Bremer/McCoy consists of bassist Jonathan Bremer and pianist/keyboardist Morten McCoy, who have played together since 2012. Their music moves across melodic jazz, dub aesthetics, and minimalist soundscapes.

The music is wordless and carried by Morten McCoy's tape-loop effects and Jonathan Bremer's double bass - an organic sound picture that is both analogue and meditative.

Hanstholm Madbar sits on Helshagevej with a panoramic view over the North Sea, the harbour and Nationalpark Thy, right in the Cold Hawaii surf area. Under one roof it combines a restaurant, a five-apartment mini-hotel, a spa and a live-music venue. The menu changes with the seasons and the kitchen's mood - most of the interesting dishes are on the chalkboard rather than the printed card. The hotel rooms are fitted with record players and plenty of colour; there is no TV.

Bassist Jonathan Bremer co-founded the Copenhagen duo Bremer/McCoy in 2012, crafting a meditative blend of dub, jazz and Nordic folk that has earned the pair a devoted following across Europe and beyond. The duo records and tours with their own custom sound system, releasing music on David Byrne's Luaka Bop label.
