Hanstholm Madbar sits on Helshagevej with a panoramic view over the North Sea, the harbour and Nationalpark Thy, right in the Cold Hawaii surf area. Under one roof it combines a restaurant, a five-apartment mini-hotel, a spa and a live-music venue. The menu changes with the seasons and the kitchen's mood - most of the interesting dishes are on the chalkboard rather than the printed card. The hotel rooms are fitted with record players and plenty of colour; there is no TV.
