A Healthy Digestion is the Foundation of All Life
Frede Damgaard gives a lecture on how diet affects the gut microbiome - the microorganisms that break down the food we eat - and how the right combination of foods can restore digestive balance.
Digestive problems are more widespread than allergies and can manifest as enzyme deficiency, lactose intolerance, gluten allergy, or poor nutrient absorption. The lecture covers four concrete principles: anti-inflammatory diet (vegetables, limited amounts of grains, fish, poultry and possibly dairy products), optimal hydration, the use of herbs with anti-inflammatory properties, and dietary supplements such as enzymes, multivitamins, fish oil and minerals.
Frede Damgaard has worked for over five decades as a practitioner, educator and lecturer in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and is considered one of the most experienced voices in the Danish health sector within complementary health.
