Zadie Smith writes sharply and humorously about multicultural environments, where identity is shaped by race, class, and origin. She connects personal experience with broad social critique - from the British class system to questions about how we have surrendered large parts of our identity and behaviour to social media and the tech giants that drive it. Her body of work spans novels, essays, short stories, drama, debate, and children's books.
