Storytelling Workshop for children - difficult topics: Saturday 7 November 2026, 10:30–12:00, Sorø Bibliotek, Sorø. Admission is free.

Based on the principle "You can tell children anything - it's all about how you do it", Elsebet Mie invites children aged 4-8 and their adults to a storytelling workshop at Sorø Library.

She draws on her book "From Supermom to Zombiemom - or when Trygve's mother got a concussion" and demonstrates how dramatic stories can be conveyed through songs and tales with playful melodies and magical worlds. Guided by Elsebet Mie, participants then work together to create their own stories and find words and images for things that can be difficult to talk about.

At the end, Elsebet Mie reads from the book, describing what it is like to be a mother with a concussion. Afterwards, there is an opportunity to buy and have the book signed.

Elsebet Mie Nielsen is 45 years old and has lived in Sorø since 2008. She is a trained educator who has worked in Sorø Forest Kindergarten, helped establish the Playroom in Sorø (2015-2019), and was behind the creation of the Playground at Galgebakken. In recent years she has been a scout leader in Karl af Riise, and currently works with adults with developmental disabilities. A concussion in 2016 was the background for the book.
