Munk, Bille & Ask

Munk, Bille & Ask is a project where three artists weave literature and music together as a single unified expression rather than two separate elements on stage. The focus is on Johanne Bille's ten years of writing and the emotions that shape a human life: love, heartbreak, euphoria, frustration, and quiet joy. An album is in progress with songs ranging from pop to folk ballads.

Johanne Bille is the author of novels including "When Men Leave Me" and "Summer in Blueregn Bookshop", co-founder of Harpyie publishing house, and culture editor at Aller. She has recently published "While the Garden Bursts" and will release "The Meeting in the Olive Grove" this autumn. Simon Ask is a guitarist, producer, and co-founder of the award-winning Katinka Band; his solo album "Flying" came out last year. Esben Munk is a singer and songwriter behind the album "Loudly Wondering" (2022) - and he is originally from Struer.
