From Thit Jensen to Kim Larsen and King Frederik
Biblioteket Sønderborg, Sønderborg
Literary critic Jens Andersen gives a lecture on the art of writing biographies - what is a biography really? Truth, interpretation, or something in between? And what does it take to bring an entire human life to the page?
He takes the audience into the biography workshop and shares experiences and insights from his work on many award-winning books about, among others, Tom Kristensen, Tove Ditlevsen, H.C. Andersen, Ole Lund Kirkegaard, Frank Arnesen, and Queen Margrethe. He has portrayed the Danish king twice, most recently in "Kongeord" from 2024.
Andersen holds a Ph.D. in Nordic literature and is a recognized literary critic. He has received the Georg Brandes Prize, the Søren Gyldendal Prize, and the H.C. Andersen Legacy Award.
The lecture takes place in Salen, Nørre Havnegade 15, Sønderborg.
