Dyslexia Day

Week 40 is International Dyslexia Awareness Week, and the library marks the occasion with a themed day in Salen, Nørre Havnegade 15, arranged in collaboration with VidensBy Sønderborg.

Artist Julie Nymann speaks with humor and empathy about how she has turned her dyslexia into a resource in her artistic work. The starting point is her work "The Advantages of Being Dyslexic", which is on display at Augustiana Kunsthal. She shares personal experiences of growing up with dyslexia and discovering the strengths in what is difficult. Feel free to wear green and be part of the proud dyslexic movement.

After the talk, there will be an opportunity to meet representatives from associations and institutions who can provide knowledge about dyslexia and advice on relevant issues.
