In these dance workshops for the whole family, a group of talented dancers from Dansk Danseteater will take children on a movement journey into the world of dance. You'll explore ideas and choreography from Dansk Danseteater's productions, with a focus on body, creativity, imagination, and community.

About the venue: Operaen

The Opera House on Holmen is Denmark's national opera house and part of the Royal Danish Theatre. Designed by architect Henning Larsen and inaugurated on 15 January 2005, the building was a gift to the Danish people from the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation. The main auditorium seats 1,700 and the house is home to the Royal Danish Opera and the Royal Danish Orchestra, staging opera, ballet and classical concerts. The foyer features light sculptures by Olafur Eliasson and bronze reliefs by Per Kirkeby, while the Takkelloft hall displays a large painting by Tal R.

About: Dansk Danseteater

Founded in 1981 and based at the Copenhagen Opera House, Dansk Danseteater has put contemporary dance firmly on Denmark's cultural map - from large-scale stage productions to free performances under the open sky. With Marina Mascarell at the artistic helm since 2023, the company's international dancers perform work that holds a sharp, engaged mirror to the present.
